Dungeons and Dragons was the second tabletop that I've heard about, but the first that I actually got to play. Ever since then, my gallery of heroes, hypocrites and the occasional psychopaths grows.
I've listed out all of those that I remember or managed to find a character sheet.

Mercurial is good way to describe this warlock's character. He is known for his unconvential battle tactics (frequently utilizing bags of holding and portable holes), lack of all but the basics of morality and just a handful of touchstones that keep him tethered to sanity.
One of his few lifelong goals is to reconcile his estranged family, not because of some lofty idealism, but for the sheer fun of seeing a fallen servant of Seldarine and a elven high mage turned Weave wraith at the same dinner table.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, there lived PartyBoy_69. Supposedly a noble from a house on one of the Outer Rim planets, but that might be just another rumour he spread on the interweb.
Fate, as he liked to say, put him on a path with five other individuals with whom he formed a small mercenary band and took on rogueish odd jobs while operating out of Nar Shaddaa.
An aasimar who lived in the Forgotten Realms in ages past. Supposedly a hierophant of Oghma or a heretic who was hunted by the church, depending who you asked. Either way, he was a devout cleric of the god of knowledge, but chose to often express his faith through song.
If the stories are to be true, he helped a city somewhere in central Faerun and established a library there - from where he launched his heretical crusade to liberate the knowledge of Oghma and play his song.
Supposedly he ventured out to Athkatla to confront one of the heads of the offical church of Oghma, what became of him is unknown.
Victor always knew he was different from most folk of Krynn. For starters, he was keenly interested in what some would call medicine. What was of particular interest, was what makes people tick on the inside - literally.
Shortly after reaching adulthood, he happened upon a wandering cleric of Chemosh who was spreading the word of her god. He wanted to know more of this strange deity and its gospel, whose faith was gaining so many followers.
Unfortunately for the cleric, once she thought she was about to complete the ritual and make Victor a Beloved, the young soon to be devotee of traditional Chemosh faith, showed his true colours. Apparently, the god himself found it ironically funny and granted Victor his favour, so that he could have one follower of the old path in the midst of all the joyous clergy.
Once a bitter, but content, homeless man, trying to survive in the streets of Sigil, Thelmar got mixed up in the Dark of It. He can't really say at which point things went wrong. One moment, he was living in the Hive from one day to the next, the next he was running from pretty much everybody with an acheron battle construct and a half-fey spellcaster.
The constant plane hopping, needed to stay alive and ahead of their pursuers, made him tap the powers of his mind - the exact same ones which got him out on the streets in the first place. Let's just say, that some greybeard diviners are a bit touchy around psions, seers to be exact. Especially when a seer makes a social faux pas. Well, running away from demons doesn't care for social niceties and that helped motivate Thelmar to use his powers once more.
Visiting Sigil after a cycle or two later, he was a different man, not only through his attire, but also his experiences. Too bad that particular incarnation of the Great Wheel might've been broken when a Modron cube appeared over the Cage.
One of the offspring of Laeral Silverhand while she was still in office in Silverymoon - mystic theurge of Mystra and capable sorcerer in his own right.
Much to his dismay, being directly related to the ruler of Silverymoon did not help him achieve what he wanted most - lead a "normal" life. Early on, an ambassador in Myth Drannor, he got involved in the courtly intrigues of the elven city, later a seasoned adventurer who visited many places around Faerun together with his friends, trying to uncover a plot which could lead to another fall of City of Song.
After staving off the fall and exposing the some of the forces at play, he was removed from the position of ambassador and official adventurer at the cities' services and retired back in Silverymoon - heading the church of Mystra there.
Meet Sebastian, a tiefling from Sigil, a thief and opportunist working for the mysterious Queen Mab - a supposed gorgon crime lord.
His travels took him far around the planes, where he met lots of different creatures and beings, some of which were benevolent, some not so much. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that he and his companions were chasing around the planes a girl who was supposedly the soul of the Lady of Pain.
The adventure came to an end when they visited the Slates of Fate, where he foolishly wrote a wish for things to remain as they were, even if doing so cost him his existence. Had that been the end...
Years later, a binder of great skill bound him as a vestige, naming him Seb'aes'thon, the patron of cunning, lies and magic. What became of him after that is not known, but some roumours of a Patron for a few rare warlocks sprung around the planes.
